Hello, I am Heidrun!
For many years, I have volunteered with homeless people, disabled and disadvantaged children and adolescents, as well as with various peace organizations in Croatia, Northern Ireland, Italy, and France. Inspired by these experiences, I trained in Special Education at the Pädagogische Akademie in Graz, Austria, and later as a dancer at Scoil Stiofán Naofa in Cork, Ireland. I earned a Master's Degree in Dance Movement Therapy from the Laban Centre in London and, several years later, a PhD in the same field from the University of Hertfordshire in England.
In the interim, I worked for several years in Dortmund, Germany, both as a lecturer at the university and as a dance movement therapist. In 2003, I founded the Master's program in Dance Movement Therapy at the Department of Clinical Psychology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where I have since been teaching and supervising, as well as at other institutes and universities.
My clinical experience spans psychiatric clinics, educational settings, and prevention programs, working with both children and adults.
I have written and lectured on topics related to embodiment approaches, supervision, interculturality, movement observation and analysis, and various client populations.
